​​John’s Jazz Combo (duo, trio, quartet) is a versatile jazz group formed in 1995 featuring some of the finest jazz musicians in Central New York. The group performs a unique upbeat mix of music which encompasses a wide spectrum of jazz and contemporary music styles including swing, straight ahead jazz, bebop, smooth jazz, traditional jazz, Latin, blues, modal, ballad, pop, rock, blues, R&B and reggae.

The combo performs ​jazz standards from the Great American Songbook including the music of Burt Bacharach, Irving Berlin, Duke Ellington, George and Ira Gershwin, Jerome Kern, Lerner and Lowe, Henry Mancini, Cole Porter, Rodgers and Hammerstein, Rodgers and Hart, and Jimmy Van Heusen. Classic jazz and bebop compositions include the music of John Coltrane, Dexter Gordon, Jimmy Heath, George Coleman, Sonny Rollins, Miles Davis and Charlie Parker. Smooth jazz compositions include music recorded by Kenny G, Candy Dulfer, Boney James, Euge Groove, and others. Latin compositions include the music of Antonio Carlos Jobim, Carlos Santana, Bruno Martino, Tito Puente and others. Pop, rock, fusion, and R&B compositions include the music of Chuck Mangione, Marvin Gaye, Bruce Hornsby, Michael Jackson, Billy Joel, Lennon and McCartney, Bonnie Raite, Sade, Steely Dan, Sting, James Taylor, Grover Washington Jr., Pharrell Williams, Stevie Wonder, The Zombies, Ed Sheeran and others.

John’s Jazz Combo has performed nearly 1500 professional engagements throughout Central New York including winery and restaurant engagements, cocktail hours, wine tastings, rehearsal dinners, fundraisers, jazz festivals, jazz concerts, private events, library and church concerts, and corporate functions.

The group has performed at many of Central New York's premier performance venues including Anyela’s Vineyards, Turning Stone Steakhouse, Owera Vineyards, Greenwood Winery, The Sherwood Inn, Skaneateles Country Club, Mirbeau Inn and Spa, Craftsman Wood Grille & Tap House, Marriott Syracuse Downtown, Syracuse Suds Factory, Stones Steakhouse and many others. John's sax/keyboard duo were regular weekly performers at The Blue Water Grill in Skaneateles for eight consecutive years from 2012 through 2020 and are currently regular weekly performers at Lemon Grass in downtown Syracuse where they have performed since 2012. John's Super Trio is currently regular performers at Anyelas Vineyards in Skaneateles.
